Araceli Diaz was born in Lima, Peru from a family of five children. Immigrated to USA at the age of 21. Went to School of Interior Design in Lima and College in the USA in which she took Photography as a minor also. Use to earn her living as an Architectural and Construction Designer mostly in the Los Angeles beaches area during the late 1980’s and early 90’s. Helped the Interior Design department as a Construction Designer for Columbia Pictures. After moving to Florida as a single mother in the 90’s, worked as a Computer Aided Designer (CADD) for a Corporation and got married. Now, with her technical, computer and artistic background she is coming back into the world with spectacular panoramic views from our beaches areas and downtown Jax to name few of her art work as a photographer. Most of her pieces are printed on canvases as a gallery wrap ready to display, with a feel of a painting but still an obvious High-Resolution photograph. A permanent display with (12) twelve of her canvases can be seen at the new Community Center and Exhibition Hall http://www.visitjacksonvillebeaches.com/Details.aspx?id=526 Mon-Fri 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Jacksonville Beach. Ara (her nickname) has won awards for the best “Reviewer” at this community as well as awards for her photography. Served as a Field Coordinator for Treasure Divers during July 2007 filming at Mayport Village. Ara continues her photographic art to the highest quality standards to meet the demands from her audience. |
