Marquetry Trinket Box-Landscape

This hand built trinket box, which could also be used as a small jewelry box, is constructed in solid mahogany with veneered top and bottom panels, with a original marquetry abstract landscape scene on the top lid. It is a lift lid box, as there is no need for hinges. It is finished in a hand rubbed polyurethane finish, which is waxed to a satin sheen. there is a light tan ultrasuede liner on the inside bottom.
Its outside dimensions are 6 3/4" wide, 5 11/16" front to back, and 3" tall. The inside dimensions are 5 9/16" long, 4 1/2" front to back, and 2" deep, with 1/4" recess inside the top lid.
