Neo Cubist-Surrealism 25
Darwin Leon
In my search for new forms in art I experimented with a more intense way of enhancing and abstracting the figure. With this series I intent to capture using the automatism method(used by many surrealists in the surrealist movement),a more complex and sophisticated alternative of subconscious compositions. The term obviously emerges from the combination of surrealism and cubism which in my opinion makes the perfect couple to express the intensity of the moment
and the suggestive thinking. I am intrigued in how much can you distort and abstract the human figure by using forms alternatives and endless lines. I believe with this series I was
successful with this experimentation.
