Derbyshire Winter Trees # 4
David Lewis Baker
A surrealistic and desonstructionist landscape based on a sunset behind a typical hilltop ring of Peak District trees in the 'White Peak' (limestone hills) close to Tissington. Such lonely oval and circular plantations of hilltop trees are typical of the High peak uplands, planted to provide shelter for isolated hilltop farmhouses and their livestock.
