Sunrise #3 Stanton Moor to Matlock David Lewis Baker
One of a series of works based on photographs of trees that I took on the same day that I finished the pieces. They were all taken on the high moors around my wife Su's tiny village school on Stanton Moor at around 6.45 am, after I had dropped her off and was returning home. This is a constructed from two versions of a view taken south from the edge of Stanton Moor towards the town of Matlock where I live. This version was completed after some constructive suggestions by fellow artist Lee Kaloidis.
