Westonbirt is the English National Aboretum situated 20 miles north of Bath and 3 miles south of Tetbury in the Cotswalds. It contains many wonderful specimen trees, including a 2000 year old lime tree, and at its heart is a large open clearing where the original image for this photographic piece was taken. The central division of the work was created from a section taken from one of six tall rectangular glass sculptural pieces, together creating a single group. This piece and the others in this series use this as a basis to probe the essense of the English landscape.
