Westonbirt is the English National Aboretum situated 20 miles north of Bath and 3 miles south of Tetbury in the Cotswalds. It contains many wonderful specimen trees, including a 2000 year old lime tree, and at its heart is a large open clearing where the original image for this photographic piece was taken. The linear objects in this work were created from sections taken from six tall rectangular glass sculptural pieces, together creating a single group. This piece and the others in this series use this as a basis to probe the essense of the English landscape.
