Eye of the Beholder #1 (For Rebecca) David Lewis Baker
This work is for sale elsewhere, please email the atist for details.
One of a number of digital pieces based on images of a human eye. It is said that the eye is the 'window on the soul', and these works seek to probe this truth. The piece was also inspired by Arthurian legends and by Buddhist beliefs of the all seeing eye. I dedicate this piece to Rebecca Marie Barnett of Maine USA and her beautiful eyes. Rebecca is recovering from from brain base top of spine surgery (tumor removal) and suffers from double vision. She has endured 15 surgeries in her first 16 years, and as her mother, Alice, says: 'has seen the other worlds'.

Absolutely fascinating! Love the way the lower eye image seems like a mirror or a small lake reflecting the eye above.
