Self Portrait (Bath Triptych)

A piece developed from two photographs taken in the lounge of our new home in Bath in April 2007. The figure glimpsed spying through the centre from behind is me the artist attempting to capture myself in unguarded moments. Such works continue a long tradition of mine of doing regular self portraits to trace my aging features and capture the equally aging inner me, in the tradition of Rembrandt and other artists. This piece also celebrates my recent arrival in Bath.
