A 'thatched' gourd roof keeps out the rain. Handle of gourd becomes a coconut palm tree with a tangle of red gourd flowers and leaves vining up the handle. The center of each flower contains a handmade glass bead. With three coats of exterior finish this birdhouse will weather the storms and provide a snug haven for generations of songbirds.
