 Margo has always been drawn to art as a creative outlet. Throughout high school and college she experimented with various media from oil painting, to woodcut printing, to metal casting. On her own time she worked to create her own designs in beaded jewelry.
Over time she began to realize a personal style for creating highly detail oriented work. Such a style translates well into the world of fine metal-smithing.
She is now finding her focus mostly on copper and the art of piercing.
Margo moved out to California to learn the art of fine jewelry from the California Institute of Jewelry Training. She has returned home to New York and currently resides in Suffern working on her line of unique hand crafted fine jewelry as Margalita Designs.
Margalita Designs strives to create beautiful pieces of unique jewelry. Pieces are hand crafted from copper, silver, and nugold (a brass alloy). Each design is individual, hand made, and most can be reproduced. Inspiration is taken from nature, the intricacy of labyrinths, and roots in Judaism.
