Don't Be Blue

I was listening to Michael Franks, looking out the patio doors at a beautiful day, and appreciating my good fortune as I painted this piece. I wanted to capture those feelings of happiness and gratitude, so the colors are uplifting, exuberantly blended, and swept on in thick layers that practically dance off the canvas.
