Title; "Study for; Chop Suey; Elio, Elio, Lama Sabachthani?", Which means; "Chop Suey; My God, My God, Why Hast Thou Forsaken Me?"
I did this piece during a five week period when I was going througth some more tough fiery trials in the summer of 2002. This picture expresses the extreme contrast between, the care free life of a child and the, most often, tough adult life full of fiery trials and tribulations, to where sooner or, later we cry out saying, "My God, My God, Why has Thou forsaken me?" I am also trying to show how God uses those fiery trials to burn off our impurities and transform our charactors into pure gold.
