This painting is about the great failure, of the society of the world, to recognize and give female artists, their rightfully deserved place of great honor, in art museums, art galleries, art news and the hearts of the public, world wide.
First of all, I want to praise Patssi Valdez, and give her the proper respect and honor, which she rightfully deserves. Patssi, and the sweet little girl with the yellow dress in one of her paintings were the main inspiration for this painting.
Secondly, I want to give praise and great honor to the famous surrealist painter, Dorthia Tanning.
Then also, great honor to a fantastic Russian born artist, Olga Perry, who I would classify as a blessed granddaughter of the original Surrealistic movement. I would sub-tile her style as "Romantic Surrealism".
Then I want to give 26 year old fantasy artist, Laura Diehl, tremendous credit for her great art and artistic accomplishements at such a youg age.
Then to Kay Sage, who like Dorothea Tanning, unfairly went almost totally un-noticed in the shadows of their husbands. Personally I like their artworks much better, than their husbands.
Then there is also Karena Karras, Frida Kahlo, Leonor Fini, Meret Oppenheim, Leonora Carrington, Linda Mungerson, Blima Efraim, Marlene Piccolin, Cindy Sherman, Anna Weber and all the other great female artists everywhere for, their great art, and I say to them, \"Don\'t give up, ride out the storms, and rise up and take, with peaceful force, if necessary, your proper and rightfully deserved seats of honor, like Patssi Valdez did, when her and two other people signed the Los Angeles County Art Museum, and called it their work, feeling, "if we can't get our works in the museum, then we will sign the museum and call it our work."
