This painting was done during 1988 and 1989 when I was suffering severe trials and severe depression. At that time, I felt no hope in my heart of things getting better. Then about eight months later, my life was rising fast up out of the severe trials and depression into heavenly blessedness unto this present time; ( 17 years later ), which have been the best years of my life. On that day, eight months after I made this painting, while my life was rising upward fast, the title immediately came to me; "The Resurrection of the Shoe".
This painting is one of about six pictures that I signed my name the outlaw instead of Steve Kreuscher.
