The best tribute paintings to Van Gogh are created by people, who have walked for miles and miles in his shoes, therefore, we know his very heart, soul, spirit and mind....because we are true descendants of his "Legacy of Pain"......With that said, my life has been full of severe tribulations, almost identical to Van Gogh's life, but even much worse and almost 100 years later, to the year. The one main difference, between my life and Van Gogh's life, is that I survived, but only because of my four guardian angels; (my four children), and God through them.)

"The Greatest Art of all, has the power to hit you right in your face, blow your mind, take captive your senses, enrapture your soul and free your spirit."...by Steve Kreuscher..........the three artist's, who's works, do that to me the most are the three, who I call the father, the son and the holy ghost of Modern Art; (Salvador Dali, Rene Magritte and M.C Escher).

Artist's Statement;
"If a good artist's artworks are really worth millions of dollars, when the artist dies, then those same artworks are worth millions of dollars also, while the artist is still alive, because neither time, nor death, nor the public finally realizing the worth of the artist's artworks, can change the true worth of the artist's artworks. Anything, other than this statement, is merely games, which the so called professionals of the public art world play, for huge profit. And those games, which the so called professionals of the public art world play, for huge profit, are like spitting on the artist's grave.", especially because the same so called professionals wouldn't give that same artist "The Time of Day", before that artist died."

The Big Business American Art Scam

The following are two examples of how "The Big Business American Art Scam" works and has destroyed "The American Art Market" turning it into a "Big Business Scam" that is only about "Big Money" and it has nothing to do with Art whatsoever anymore.

All of the so called "American Fine Art Museums", over the last 60 years, more and more, are being filled, with extremely decadent low quality "Refrigerator art.

A Good Example of how the "Big Money Art Scam" works" at big auction houses

They set up a big auction supposedly for a good charitable cause. They have hand picked so many paintings by so many certain hand picked artists, whom they want to promote by carving in stone, an extremely high price tag on their artworks, through the process of the auction. The artist can be totally unknown and it can be an artist, who just scribbles paint on a canvas. That artist's scribble painting, now being in this one auction sets a million dollar price tag on that piece and when it sells in the auction , it is no problem to give the million dollars to the charity, because now that same artist's next piece will sell for the same amount or much more, at that same "Big Business Art Auction House" because his career is now set in stone and everything that he does will be worth millions. Sounds like a very slick totally deceptive "Big Business Art Scam" doesn't it. Well it is. It's called "Big Business Money Making Tactics". Also, every other artist in that first benefit auction; the price of their works, are also all now set for a million dollars or more a piece for each new piece that they put out.

The Big Business American Art Gallery Scam

American so-called "Fine Art Galleries", do not want any modern day artists artworks, unless they can slop together 5 vague meaningless decadent, extremely minimal abstract paintings a week. They won't even consider you as an artist unless you are already totally known and your paintings sell for big money, or if you are an artist, who can slop together those 5 "Refrigerator Art" pieces a week. Those American so-called Fine Art Galleries have nothing to do with art whatsoever, they are all about money. Someone who spends 3 months or even 1 month on a artwork is useless to them, because that artist cannot make them enough money, when it takes that top quality artist that much time to put out one painting. To the Big Money Scamming American Art Galleries, 3 months is a big loss of time, which equates to a big loss of money to them, because it's not about the artist taking time to do masterpieces that take months, or years, it's about decadent minimal art that they can slop together 5 a week and make Big Time Money for all of those American so-called Fine Art Museums that are not about the art, but only about the money. As a result, our American Art Museums go along with the two Big Business Art Scams, here mentioned because they are all a part of those big scams, and they fill their museums full of that garbage "Refrigerator Art" such as Drippism, Scribblism, Zippism and all other artworks that are so decadently minimal and lacking in any kind of true quality whatsoever, that they don't even deserve to be called art. When my granddaughter scribbles on paper it is good for her age and mentality, but when adult so-called artists scribble on paper and canvases and Big American Art Auction Houses sells them for millions of dollars, then it is obvious to anyone whosoever who has eyes to see and a brain in their head, to think, that it is nothing more than "Big Business Scamming and Manipulation" and has totally destroyed the American Art Market and made us Americans the laughing stock of the whole rest of the quality art world.
By One Nation Under God AKA In God We Trust AKA Steve Kreuscher

Born in 1950, as Steve Kreuscher. As of Friday the 13th of June 2008, I legally changed my name, from Steve Kreuscher, to 'In God We Trust', ( the reasons are written in the next paragraph ) and now, two years later, as of Friday the 6th of August 2010, I changed my name once again legally to 'One Nation Under God'; It's like a new self portrait, not with paint on canvas, but with those powerful phrases engraved onto the canvas of my life.

Many people, who don't know me tend to think I am crazy for changing my name to those to powerful religious motto's. People, who do know me, know that both name changes are artistic personal self-expressions. I grew up in the 50's, when those 2 motto's were first put on our currency, declared as our national motto and was put in "The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag". Those two powerful motto's really became an important part of my character, my life and who and what the times, that I grew up in, were molding me and shaping me into. In God We Trust also expresses, the faith that God has produced in me, my life and my character, through many really tough trials and tribulations that He has safely brought me through in my life. Both, In God We Trust and One Nation Under God were what was being preached to me and taught to me as I grew up in the 50's. In a multitude of different ways those two motto's were being engraved on the character of my life, as a sign of the times. Back then, most Americans both saw America and believed it to be One Nation Under God and In God We Trust. That is how I saw this country during the most important character building years of my life. Now days things are changing and "In God We Trust" and "One Nation Under God" are slowly vanishing from this great country's character. I also changed my name to those two powerful motto's as a statement to all my fellow Americans saying reach out and grab a hold of the things, which made this country a great country to begin with, and anything that is good that we have already let go of and lost, let us reach out and grab it once again. You may ask, "Isn't changing my name to those two motto's rather extreme, though ?" To that question I answer by saying. "Not for an artist, 'cause many artist's are always searching for new creative and unusual ways to express themselves. Also after 35 years of being a great artist, who does great quality artworks, you begin to get a little desperate in your search of new ways to express yourself and get the world to finally notice you and your artworks. I was 57 when I changed my name the first time in 2008, not that great of health and not knowing just how much time I had left on the face of this earth, I felt like I had to do something, even if it seemed to be a little extreme, to finally open the eyes of the public to me as a great 20th century artist and my artworks. Within 3 months of my first name change, "Hilo Art Museum" in Hawaii accepted 12 of my original pieces of artworks into their permanent collection. But then the economy went sour and a year latter, that art museum went broke financially and had to close down.

I was born and raised in a historical city, which a world famous faith healer founded; ( Dr. John Alexander Dowie ), in 1900, Zion Illinois USA. This accounts for me growing up as a very religious mystic.

The following are sayings that I made up and have become known for saying them.

"This World is a Very Cool, Interesting Weird World, as long as I am here in it with you all, but When I die this World will go back to it's Same Old Boring Self once again !......Therefore, Somebody Please, Inherit "MY MANTLE OF WEIRDNESS" and carry it on for me, to Save all of the people in this world from dying of Boredom !" By One Nation Under God, the Weird Artist

"Dare to be different, but in a good way !"

by In God We Trust

"Relationships are most important, everything else will vanish with the wind"

by In God We Trust

by One Nation Under God, formerly In God We Trust and before that Steve Kreuscher ( my birth name )

As of November 2008, 12 of my original pieces of artwork are in the permanent collection of "Hilo Art Museum" in Hawaii. See the following link;

First of all and above all, my artworks are an artistic autobiography of my life, my character and my strong beliefs and opinions.

Ironically, I started to paint and draw, through a devastating tragedy; of my best friend getting killed in a car accident, when I was 17 years old.

Within a few years, I had my first one man art show, in 1969.

Then in 1971, I took 3rd place for surrealistic sculptures in an art show at Buckingham Fountain, Chicago, Illinois.

Then a year later, in 1972, I took 2nd place for my surrealistic paintings, in an art show again at Buckingham Fountain, Chicago, Illinois.

Schooling; Semi-taught by, who I consider the holy trinity of the modern art world; Dali, Magritte and M. C. Escher. I have studied their works for 37 years now, as sincere and as faithfully, as someone studying for their doctor's degree in something. This qualifies me as what I call a semi-self-taught artist, and accounts for my surrealistic style. Since, I am a mystic and a surrealist, I call my personal style Mystical Surrealism.

Many people say that surrealism died in 1940. On the contrary, I declare that surrealism is alive more, than ever before, and that it will never die as long as our imaginations and our dreams continue. Surrealism is much more, than just a passing popular art trend. It rises up alive and fresh to every new generation. The tremendously, powerful freedom of surrealism reaches out, grabs and takes a hold of people, from every nationality and every generation since it began. Surrealism frees us to be ourselves and to think for ourselves. Therefore, surrealism is not dead, it has just branched out everywhere and into every artistic media you can think of, giving birth to so many grandchildren movements and styles everywhere.
