This painting is about trusting in God through every dark stormy trial in our lives. It's the perfect first painting with my new name / new signature on it.
The various colors of dark colored canvases fading into black are different dark stormy trials that I've passed through in my life. Each canvas is also like a petal in the flower, which represents the blossoming of my life as a whole. The moon represents the fact that God, through the trials of my life has made me into a reflection of Himself. The shining cross in the center of the picture and coming up from the crescent moon means that Jesus is at the center of my life as my Lord and my Savior. The dark canvases, which represent the dark stormy trials in our lives form a dark tunnel and the light that always shines at the end of the tunnel to guide us safely through the dark tunnel is God. The title of this drawing was also inspired by a song that I was listening to a lot throughout the whole time that I was drawing this picture. The song is by the Raconteurs and it is titled, "Many Shades of Black", great song.

The following is what my youngest 28 year old daughter wrote about how she feels about me changing my name to "In God We Trust";

My Father; "In God We Trust
Every inch of every masterpiece that this man has sweated over, wept upon and bled through his veins, to create from the deepest part of his heart and his soul, screams out loud and clear the story of his life; need I say more?... This may seem exaggerated to those, who have never met him, but coming from a person, who has known him my entire life and is close enough to be called one of his "Guardian Angels", that statement is underrated. His art is his diary, the only difference is that he chooses to share it with those, who are interested.
Steve Kreuscher, AKA, "In God We Trust", has been through several trials and tribulations in his life and so far, he has made it through alive. Though, some of those times, his faith was so weak, that he felt like giving up, but yet his faith kept growing stronger.
Steve taking the courageous stand, of changing his name to "In God We Trust", is not only for himself and for his loved ones, it is for everyone, whose faith has weakened, or was lost somewhere along the way. Steve's new name is now in every aspect of his life, to remind him that God has pulled him through it all; and that He will continue to pull him through it all for the rest of his life, "til his faith is finally crowned in glory. Those, who share the same loving relationship with God that Steve does, will know and will stand with him to "Keep the Faith Alive". by "Daddy's Guardian Angel"

By (Kris Kristofferson)
Why me Lord, what have I ever done
To deserve even one Of the pleasures I`ve known
Tell me Lord, what did I ever do
That was worth loving you
Or the kindness you`ve shown.

Lord help me Jesus, I`ve wasted it so
Help me Jesus
I know what I am
Now that I know that I`ve need you so
Help me Jesus, my soul`s in your hand.

Tell me Lord, if you think there`s a way I can try to repay
All I`ve taken from you
Maybe Lord, I can show someone else
What I`ve been through myself
On my way back to you.

Lord help me Jesus, I`ve wasted it so
Help me Jesus
I know what I am
Now that I know that I`ve need you so
Help me Jesus, my soul`s in your hand.

What an honour to be the first to offer critical remarks about this very special Art-work. Remembering that this is Art materials brought to life the composition is a double entendre too. It is especially difficult to use words as objects in a still life. Here the Artist has also added the intended meaning as well. The obvious is subdued by the technique beautifully. "Marvelous!"

Every masterpiece that this man has sweated over, wept upon and bleed through, from the deepest parts of his heart and soul, to create every detail, which screams out the story of his life; need I say more?... As I study this unique painting, I am reminded of the many dimensions of God The Father, The Holy Spirit and His Son Jesus. It is a multi-dimensional, multi-fasceted painting with GOD at the center along with TRUST! To me in many ways it's a very modern and cubist interpretation of "In my Father's House there are but many mansions!" Thank you! 5 stars again!!!!!
