 THERESE ABOUNADER became an artist painter 25 years ago.she knew her first love to arts at eight years old, at school, still remember her first dessin, was the wedding of Canna,in the Nuns school notre dame de dons-sisters antonins.
Very young,early age,She begun her oil paintings, she did portaits, seaccapes, mountains vues, landscapes, still lives, Classic and later become a classic modern painter. AFTER YEARS, she put oils aside, for a while, just to concentrate to the watercolor medium, after she did some paintings, who pleased to a Lebanese Galerist,who asked her to buy them, because he saw a chef-D'oeuvres in it.
IN 1982 She came to the USA to visit some parents there, and for one month only. In 1997 she returned back to the USA for few months, she falls in love with this lovely Country, she returned back to her mother Country, to LEBANON, dreaming to return and stay in the USA for good.IN 1989 the dream became true, she begun her Art Classes in the MUNSON-WILLIAMS-SCHOOL OF ARTS. In Watercolor Classes her Teacher, for thirty two years teaching in the same Museum ART School, was RALPH MURRAY, He WAS A Very Nice Helpful Teacher, He likes Her WORKS, AND DURING THE CLASSES, TWO OF HER CLASS FRIENDS, ASKED HER TO BUY HER ARTWORKS,Even She Realized and knew, that Watercolor Medium, was a Very Difficult and Challenging medium, before,was a very easy medium to her . From 1982 till 1999 she did her wonderful watercolors paintings.SINCE THE FIRST TIME SHE ENTERED TO THE EXHIBITION IN the MUNSON-WILLIAMS-PROCTOR MUSEUM,HER ARTWORKS WAS ACCEPTED and for many consecutifs YEARS LATER TOO, with wondering of many Artlovers, asking how she did her watercolors and gave her theirs Compliments .
In 1992, she was invited to Exhibit Her Works in MONTREAL-CANADA,and DR Samir MOUKAL,from RADIO-CANADA CHOOSE HER FROM ALL ARTISTS SHARING THIS EXHIBITION, ASKING TO do A SPECIAL MEETING FOR THIS RADIO. HE SAID TO HER I SEE AND HOPE THAT YOUR WORKS WILL BECOME WORLD WIDE AND INTERNATIONNALY KNOWN. Very known persons was buying from her artworks to add to their collections.
The most of them was florals and the style was Classic Modern, and some Abstract Symbolics and Cubists ones. Besides HER WATERCOLORS, SHE Did some ACRYLIC Paintings too , But, KEEP FOCUSING ON HER WATERCOLORS AND WAS PREPARING HER FIRST SOLO EXHIBITION, BUT NO IDEA WHERE WILL BE THE PLACE.
In 1995, she return to Her First Origine country, to LEBANON,country of the sun, of the sea ,where you need only 15 to 20 minutes to reach up the mountain from the sea. And in this country you can see, And feel the Warm and Sunny days for, nine months a year. Many of the GALLERIST who SAW HER WORKS, WERE STUPPEFIED TELLING HER WHAT A BIG VALUES IN YOUR ARTWORKS!!ASKING HER TO DO EXHIBITION TO THESE BEAUTIFUL WORKS in their Galleries ...SHE TOOKS HER TIME, TO CHOOSE THE BEST PLACE FOR THE FIRST SOLO SHOW WHO MEANS A LOT TO HER...
IN MAY, 1996, She did her first Solo Exhibition at LA TOILE-RIMAL, A VERY BIG AND NICE SALLE D'EXPOSITIONS,this PLACE IN RIMAL, is IN THE BEACH CENTER. It was a Successful Exhibition, let more than 35 magazines asking to meet her taking photos of the Artworks to show them in their magazines, some English local magazines, and French like LE COMMERCE DU LEVANT,La REVUE DU LIBAN, AND OTHERS.. Lebaneses and Arabics,Too. After that, she did sharing many, many exhibitions in this country, showing people her OWN ARTWORKS. She became a Full time PAINTER. VOILA, HERE ARE some of her Exhibitions:
1996: May24 First Solo Exhibition.
1997: a Collectif Exhibit. at the minister of tourism, Hamra Street, LEBANON.
1997; Collectif exhib. at a NEW Gallery, the occasion was, the NEW Oppening of this new Gallery at Chtaura, it was GRAFFITY GALLERY.
1998: First Symposium at EHDEN (NORTH OF LEBANON AND NEAR GIBRAN KHALIL GEBRAN VILLAGE AND MUSEUM).
1998: SYMPOSIUM at JOUNIEH THE PURPOSE was to put the first step to a new museum in this lovely country near the sea.
1999: Symposium at ZAHLE, At Fayrouz Chamoun Arts Center, The Oldest Art Center in the Bekaa country.
2000: FEW EXHIBITIONS IN THE COMITY OF THE ARTISTS IN LEBANON. These Exhibitions was running Accross All the LEBANESE CONTRIES FROM THE SOUTH TO THE NORTH TO THE EST THEN TO THE LEBANESE ARTS COMITY.
2001: COLLECTIF ARTS EXHIBITION IN DARAJ EL FANN IN GEMMAYZE NEAR BEIRUT.
SHE was invited to Many Televisions for Meeting, talking about her arts Showing her recents paintings, And exposed ones too.
2002: She was invited BY "LE CERCLE DES ARTS " to show her works at The HOTEL MERIDIEN-COMMODORE IN HAMRA STREET, FOR ONE MONTH. DURING THAT WAS MANY TELEVISIONS MEETINGS LIKE NEW TV, TL TELELIBAN, LBC AND OTHERS.
2004 INVITATION TO AN EXHIBITION IN CENTER EMILE LAHOUD SALLE DE CONGRES, JOUNIEH HIGH WAY.
She was invited to habtour hotel for two consec. exhibitions, but she prefer to take more time, she's working for a Solo Exhibition, hope very soon...
As a full time Artist, she's still working daily for many hours between 10 and 14 hours, day and night. Painting is her True love, because she put All her Feelings in her Artworks...And Her Dreams Too... TILL NOW, SHE'S WORKING DAILY, AND FOR MANY HOURS, DOING VERY NEW AND OWN WAY HOW SHE'S SEEING AND UNDERSTANDING,LOOKING, AND FEELINGS, AND LOVING ARTS TO ARTS: IN FRENCH: AIMER L'ART POUR L'ART....SHE NEVER BELIEVES THSAT ARTS IS COMMERCIAL,FOR HER ITS A WAY TO BREATH,TO SEE, TO LIVE TO LOVE....FROM THE HEART... |
