This is not your grandmother's boring still life! This fun, colorful painting gives the traditional subject matter, vases and flowers in a tabletop arrangement, a modern look. Vivid colors,the use of patterns, the sparkling collage elements, all work together to create this unique piece of art.
Executed on a 12X12" stretched canvas, this painting utilizes a combination of techniques. First the design is laid out on the support surface, then the acrylic paint is applied. Next carefully selected and hand cut pieces of paper collage are added. If you look carefully, you can see that many elements (such as the vases) are comprised of many different paper elements. The final design element added is the careful placement of rhinestones and other shiny embellishments. These are unexpected and very pretty when the catch the light!
This canvas is 3/4" deep; the painting is continued onto these sides, so framing is not necessary. Appropriate for most rooms in your home, you can simply unwrap it, hang it on your wall and love it.
