Yesteryear II
Avalon Art Studio (see more by this artist)
"Yesteryear II" is a 32" x 22" antique window that has two new 8" x 28" inserts in it. The design was created by award winning artist Carl Correll who uses Dichroic Bevels.
Dichroic Bevels are bevels with an iridescent coating that changes color when viewed from different angles. ‘This is seen as one of the most exciting new decorative glass products to be introduced in a long while.’ Dichroic is a word used to describe certain rare crystals which have this chameleon-like ability. When fused onto glass bevels the effect is not only stunning, but also completely bewitching, as the shimmering colors appear to change as the viewer shifts position or passes by.
As the sun hits it or as you move and view this piece the purple bevels are constantly changing from purple to blue to mauve to pink and the yellow bevels are changing from yellow to orange to magenta. This is an exciting art piece and can be hung in a window or inserted in a wall. This is truly a "one of a kind" work of art.
Gallery Price is $398.00 plus $59.00 for special packaging, handling, shipping and insurance within the Contential USA.
