Origin & culture: Carved shells throughout history has been found in both Sarawak(Northern Borneo) & Kalimantan(Southern Borneo).
You are bidding a top class artifact in Borneo, the shell could have been carved way back in the 1970s by the Iban-Dayak from the Apokayan province sharing the borders of Sarawak(Malaysia) and Kalimantan(Indonesia). I had the shell made into a large bottle, note the darker areas are made of wood, it is water tight.
Adorn with old Dayak motifs, the "Buah Berinjan", "Tree of Life" and "Aso Dragon", motifs are visibly deep, extremely fine and of course very very beautiful, my photos below tells it all.
