This ancient emerald jewelry piece was recovered from the shipwrecked Spanish galleon "Nuestra Senora de Atocha" which sank in hurricane winds on September 6th, 1622. Research has shown the emerald was cut and mounted in pure gold approximately 115 years before the ship sank. Treasure Salvors, Inc. awarded this piece 250 points in 1986 placing the historical value at $17,500.
