This mask was made using half of a milk bottle gourd.It measures 6 1/2" wide at the widest point and 14" tall including the feathers.
This is one of the many faces of our Ancestors that I see,sometimes in a dream,sometimes a vision.The main color is a walnut ink dye,which is acid free,archival quality,and fade resistant.I then used black and red acrylic paint for the markings.Two Buffalo teeth adorn the mouth.Feathers used are turkey,duck,blackbird,rooster and parrot.I used black deer lace to make a hanger.
