RAKU correlates to the Root Chakra is located in the lowest pelvic region which is the seat of our survival instincts and programming. This also relates to tribal and past life issues, family, marriage, parenting, correct behavior, society, and our ability to provide basic needs for living. When this chakra is distorted or out of balance, there may be much fear, timidity, paranoia, and in general fears of the unknown, and inability to connect to life. When this chakra is in balance, there will be a feeling of safety, security, stability, desire to maintain or acquire physical health and/or sense of well being, willingness to connect to life, and embrace life’s experiences.
Raku harnasses and grounds our primal life force and survival instinct and can empower one to transcend fear based survival instincts. It nourishes our sense of belonging, our connection to family, community and our oneness with life. Raku also stimulates our evolution and positive change to make room for new experiences and regulates the process so that we can transcend outdated ways of living that no longer serve our best interest or phase of life.
