A baking hot summer's day, the snapping of a roof's dried hot wooden shingle, still air...bone dry, thirsty plants droop, the smell of golden brown weeds roasting, empty water trough dust filled, Birds hidden in the warm shade of hot trees, swift rabbits napping, a field mouse runs from post shade to post shade, this sun drenched world dressed in brilliant old gold and hot summer browns....and the artist continues to drink hot water.
