It is constructed of sterling silver sheet for the back and sterling silver square wire for the section dividers. Each individual stone was cut to fit precisely into it's chosen location. This piece is adaptable to being worn as a pendant or a brooch by adding a removable bale that slips over the pin on the back so that it can be worn as a pendant with your favorite chain. It hangs very nicely on a chain. It measures 2 3/4 inches wide from wing tip to beak and 1 5/8 inches from the top of the head to the tip of the tail feathers.
