"Pelicans are interesting birds. They fly low over the waves and feed, then rest together, as I observed the 'seaview seven' pelicans on that Washington beach.”
Artist comment: "Pelicans seem to be social birds, gathering and feeding in groups. On a small strip of sand at the edge of the Pacific Ocean near Seaview, Washington, I came upon a 'committee' of seven pelicans quietly resting after a big meal. I photographed and sketched them and in my studio later I painted them with pastel on Canson Mi-Teintes textured paper."
"Seaview Seven" is a limited edition, giclee print from an original pastel painting by Carol Thompson. Edition length is 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs). Prints on paper are signed and numbered by Carol Thompson, include a signed certificate of authenticity, and are shrink wrapped on fome board. Prints on canvas are signed and numbered by Carol Thompson, include a signed certificate of authenticity, and are gallery wrapped (the image is extended or mirrored to wrap around the sides of wooden stretcher bars and stapled to the back) so the print can be displayed framed or unframed. Other products are not signed or numbered unless specifically noted.
