Mkosana is the great Zulu hero of the battle of Isandlwhana.
As the Zulus advance on the British line,they came under heavy rifle fire and were pinned down.Mkhosana,a Zulu Induna, became "frustrated "at the lack of progress,and he the jumped up,shouting encouragement to his impi in an extremely loud and aggravating voice. He is reported to have given an eloquent speech,along the lines of"What the hell are you doing hiding from those MULUNGU ?"-,he was then shot in the head.
The Zulu Impi,becoming "agitated", at the sight of Mkhosana being shot in the kop,jumped up and charged the British line.
