This 20x16 original oil painting depicts a family walking in the pouring rain carrying a statue of the Santo NiƱo, an image that Cebuanos consider to be sacred. The story is that Ferdinand Magellan gave them a statue of the boy Jesus. A fire burned down the church years later but the statue was unharmed. This painting is part of a series of the Sinulog festival that takes place every January in Cebu, The Philippines.
