Tambora
Frederic Bender (see more by this artist)
In 1815 the black skies caused by the eruption of Indonesia's Mt. Tambora depressed temperatures worldwide by several degrees Celsius; so much that the next year was known as "the year without a summer." A reminder of the large effects unexpected events can have on global climate.
Acrylic on canvas. "Tambora" is varnished and framed in black, wood strips. Can be hung without frame, as staples do not show on the sides.
Unconditional seven-day money-back guarantee, since digital images and monitors can distort colors despite one's best efforts.
