Flying high at a recent kite festival, this 'double dragon' display is a testament to the creativity of kite makers around the globe."
Artist comment: "Every year at the kite festival at Long Beach, Washington, there are new and innovative designs flying above the beach. I captured these two dragon kites with my camera to paint later with oil on canvas. First I drew the dragons, then painted the background; graduating the sky color from top to bottom. It was fun to paint the colors and details on the kites. The wings were blended carefully to look like dyed fabric. I finished with the legs and faces and black details on the wings."
"Double Dragons" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original oil painting by Carol Thompson. Edition length is 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs). Prints on paper are signed and numbered by Carol Thompson, include a signed certificate of authenticity, and are shrink wrapped on fome board. Prints on canvas are signed and numbered by Carol Thompson, include a signed certificate of authenticity, and are gallery wrapped (the image is extended or mirrored to wrap around the sides of wooden stretcher bars and stapled to the back) so the print can be displayed framed or unframed. Other products are not signed or numbered unless specifically noted.
