In the southern part of Utah's Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. We had just completed driving the unpaved Skutumpah Road that meanders some 40 miles through a vast area of semi-desert pastureland.
Camped somewhere. The wind is moving across the sage-dotted land, making a low moaning sound through the partly open upper slider windows of SHADOW CATCHER. Clouds moving south to north, deeper into Mormon Country. Late that night, after two hours of rocking and rolling from powerful wind gusts, it’s now still. The moon is dimly visible through a massive layer of dark clouds. Some rain tonight?
Thursday. A quiet a.m. Still in Utah? We wander about these back roads so much I sometimes can’t say for sure what state we’re in. Or if we’re on the Navajo Rez or federal land, or on private land where a county road might run through a 100,000 acre ranch.
Earlier that morning, Maggie suggested that I needed a shave, so out with the red 1-burner propane cylinder stove, to heat up some water. An hour later, it begins to rain. Zig-zag bolts of lightning strike toward the land, cracking and booming, echos rumbling across the sky to the north. (When in-the-field, would I shave without Maggie suggesting it? Sure. Just not as often).
As you can see, my photos are of art gallery quality, showing careful and time consuming in-the-field composition.
The three smaller size photos are printed by myself, on Epson Ultra Premium gloss paper via a Canon MG6220 Photo Inkjet Printer with a 6-color cartridge system. The two larger sizes are printed on order at a professional photo lab on an Epson Stylus Pro 9800, using Epson Premium Luster paper with Ultrachrome inks.
The three smaller sizes will be mailed flat; the two larger sizes in a tube. Shipment will be within 14 days, unless Maggie and I are on a photo-shoot.

5½x6 double-page note cards are also available, with a 4x6 photo on the front, and Title and anecdotal info on the back of the card. These are mailed in packages of five (5). Select any mix of five of my photos, and advise me via email. Cards are premium heavy weight quality.
Orders from outside the U.S. are quite complicated due to each country's Import Value-Added-Tax. For instance, in Portugal this amounts to 23 percent of the value of the photo. Please ask about this via email. I’ll then check with the local post office, and get back to you via return email.
Please note. Your computer monitor might show lower brightness, contrast, and color than seen in the print itself. Also, there will be some loss of sharpness when zooming in to enlarge an image.
