This makes each a unique work of art from the carving to the painting. This butterfly has been painted in watercolors which allows the natural wood grain to show through and then sealed 6 coats with marine varnish (UV protectant) giving it a glass look. The main body measures 11 inches in width, and is 12-1/2 inches long. The antennae are metal. Signed, dated, and numbered along with the name burned into the back.
