This Intuitive Fine Art ‘I Am’ Miniature Series was created in a similar style to a ‘Victorian Locket’ with a bluish metal chain & is surrounded with pink, yellow & white to encase the locket with its many jewel tones to represent precious stones, this design creates yet another dimension.
Victorian Inspired Frame: This Fine Art’s frame as Victorian & is. Frame Size: 3.5 inches wide x 4.5 inches high & a gilded silver-tone design perfectly suited to this item.
It is behind glass & is a Desk Style Frame, though could display well on a small easel one can find in a variety of stores.
Screen Size: 2.25 inches wide x 3.25 inches high.
Stitch Size: 10 stitches-per-inch.
Threads: Rayon & Metallic embroidery thread & Pearl Cotton. Method: Needlepoint.
In Victorian era, locket styles were simple to complex & ladies necklaces graced their neck often, especially the wealthy people. This is, in part, simple.
The design was show the colors of ‘The Light of God’ in bright yellow & white with it surrounded in varying shades of blue for Truth.
To tap into the Victorian era to a degree, fashions were mostly flattering for slender ladies, yet the corset created the wasp waists even further.
It provided a wonderful view of the loveliness of a lady for most men. One may interpret this locket’s design to represent the male & female energies of creativity of the era.
The hour glass shape seen in this design reflect the era in a lovely lady’s figure, grace & style for the era was much to do with ‘stepping out in great style’ for ladies & gentlemen.
This art can say much about the Victorian era – in certain parts & with certain people – wherein actions of some people were ‘great secrets’ & ‘hush’ seemed to abide about some person’s real activities & lives, which were unspoken, except during 'gossip.'
The Victorian era was much about glamour & celebrating life with a seeming rebirth of ideals following the latter part of the 1800s. Yet, there is much we cannot really know of the personal lives of many people during the Victorian era.
The colors of the ‘stitched gemstones’ in the locket’s droplet depicts the gemstones & crystals of Sapphire (blue for Truth), Amethyst (lavender or purple for Spirit), Garnet (for Earth & the Physical), Quartz (for Love & Peace) & surrounded with White for Diamonds, the master stone of the Spiritual & Etherial & one most coveted by humans.
This gem of a design can be seen in other ways – those its eventual owner will endow & own as their own interpretations. Each item I create is unique with its own set of qualities.
