 Art For Life is a division of JOY International's Safe Harbor Project. Proceeds from art sold will be going to support this work.
The Safe Harbor Project is a program being developed in Cambodia, Thailand, Nepal, India and China for the rescue of children who have been kidnapped or sold and forced into prostitution and used as child sex slaves.
Founded by Dr. Jeffrey Brodsky, JOY International has been rescuing orphaned, abused and abandoned children since 1981. They have also helped many Americans adopt children internationally.
About The Art - All Art being offered is limited edition Giclee (pronounced ghee-clay) prints. The more expensive prints are VLE (very limited editions), numbering between 200 and 650. Historically and traditionally, VLE prints have increased in value second only to originals.
Giclee is a high-resolution digital print that is created by a series of tiny jets spraying millions of droplets of printing ink onto the highest quality archival artists' canvas. The spray generates more than four million droplets of ink per second; hence, the name Giclee, which is French for "fine spray." A precise computer control panel insures consistency of hue, value, and density.
Giclees are of such phenomenal quality that even some art experts have difficulty telling a Giclee from an original. This fact has prompted museums and collectors to substitute Giclees for originals, thereby safeguarding priceless works in vaults.
Since the Giclee process produces a combination of 512 chromatic changes (with over three and one-half million colors possible) and the resolution is two to three times that of lithographs or serigraphy, a Giclee captures every nuance of an original.
Over 90% of each limited edition print offered is accompanied by a signed "Certificate of Authenticity". The COA validates the limited edition and should be safeguarded for resale purposes and/or insurance valuations.
