|Thank you for viewing my gallery of many watercolors, acrylics, and a few oils.
I am inspired by nature and God's beautiful gifts in this world.
Sarasota, Fl is where my love of painting all began. I started painting in Oils in 1985 until 2000, until I fell in love with watercolor. I needed this challenge and studied the beauty of this medium from my mentors residing in WV, MD and KY.
Private owners and businesses throughout the United States own my work. Some of my paintings are commissioned, while most of the time I paint for my classes and the mere pleasure of it.
I am a Professional Watercolorist and a member of the David L. Dickirson Fine Arts Gallery in "Tamarack", with several sales of fine art original watercolor paintings and prints, located in Beckley, WV.
Bernie Hale, my buyer at Tamarack,
"The Best of West Virgiana" also carries my
5" x 7" greeting cards at this facility,
The art organizations that I am involved with are TSAA (Tri State Arts Association),TSAA website is www.tristatearts.webs.com, in WV.
I'm thrilled to be a part of West Virginia Watercolor Society and was juried into my first show with the WVWS in Princton, WV in June 2011.
I sold one of my originals in an All Members Watercolor Show in Parkersburg Arts Center entitled "My Chineese Lanterns"
I teach one day, watercolor class in Hobby Lobby in Barboursville, WV on Saturdays twice a month.
I also teach watercolor at The Upstairs Gallery on Wednesdays.
My expressive, and somewhat impressionistic style of painting is done in a wet on wet style with some details. Mood & Light are crucial to my works.
I own and manage an art gallery, "The Upstairs Gallery", in Ashland, KY where we house 20 members.
