D. ZireI'm always amazed and frustrated at how rare it is to find creative sexual art: it's either tasteless porno-fuck in bright light or gentle nudies. The images I create are a very modest attempt at bridging that gap.

This work is the result of playing, and I insist on the word "playing", with sexually explicit images that I unashamedly fish off the internet. I then randomly manipulate them using photoshop and other programs, sometimes even the basic "paint". I stop when I feel like I created a new image that is far removed form the original shot, visually attractive, suggestive, exciting. Provocative(I hope...), never vulgar (I hope...), offensive (sorry, look elsewhere).
My aim is to take away the raw un-reality of the pornographic original and introduce some mystery, intensity, sensuality or fun; and enhance the beauty of the sexual act or bodies. I select images because of their potential beauty, the oddity of a scene, the sensuality of the act or body. I often crop the image to keep the essential, what "grabs" me.

I have included some original images to show the work, like Fille d'Usine, Torn or Moulée.

Please note that I am of course NOT the author of the original photographs that I work on. I believe that what I do is within the "fair use" definition of copyright and that I in no way "diminish the value of the original" (duh!) In the unlikely event that someone would claim and prove authorship of any of these images and object to what I have done with them, I will remove it/them immediately from this site, and destroy all relevant material.

I have intentionally darkened, flashed or blurred areas of some images: I have my own limits as to what I will display on cyberspace. But the noise or pixellation is intentional and an integral part of the image. The original images are of course uncensored.

Thank You for visiting Blush Strokes.
