 Jim Weidman, was born in Chicago, ILLinois in 1938 and lived there for his first 21 years. He married his wife Barbara in 1959 and moved to Indiana where they lived and raised their family. Married now for forty-eight years they have three chidren, ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. In 2000 Jim retired, and the couple bought a home in Virginia where they currently live."Art changed for me after my retirement, from a hobby status to a full time occupation. I knew that this is what I wanted to do when I retired.I like nothing more than to take an idea to a blank sheet of paper and create something that can uplift the spirit of the viewer or be considered beautiful by some. I think we can improve at any age as long as we are still striving and I have nothing but admiration for all that just create for the love of it." |
