Artist’s Statement
I have always been moved and captivated by the play of light and the amazing carpet of color that surrounds us. My quest to capture these qualities on canvas began in my teens, and I have been striving to do so for the last 30 years.
Art is my passion. I am always working to capture the beauty of some other place or moment in time. My wish is that the viewer will find meaning and pleasure in the creation. I work on location and from photographs using oils on canvas or linen. For those who have a treasured photograph, I am pleased to create custom commissioned pieces as well.
I am constantly inspired and driven to interpret our environment. The challenge is to recreate that sense of beauty and wonder for the viewer. I hope you enjoy my work.
