	Friends 1947 Donna Hickerson Friends 1947 Contemporary American Folk Art Acrylic original painting on 11"x14" stretched canvas protected with satin varnish. The painting extends over the sides so framing is optional. The inspiration for this painting comes from an old family photograph. No one in the family seems to know who these two young girls are. There is a date on the back that says May 1947. I really enjoy painting from these old black and white photos and adding bright colors to bring them to life. Everyone has a way of rewriting his or her own history and painting is mine. Painted 2007 Initialed on the front and signed in full on the back.
