Description:
Oil on Canvas Board (10 x 8 in). Frame NOT INCLUDED.
Palette knife technique, using water soluble oils (no fumes, no turpentine).
I give myself a limited amount of time and a set view from around my house. My only criteria is that it can not look too realistic.
This is a fun series because the pieces are spontaneous and not worked over. Once the time is up, I have to stop.
You also have to work with the elements:
1) wind (canvases have been known to fly off the easel at the top of our cliff)
2) rain (watersoluble oils!!!)
3) extreme heat (melting paint) on the really hot summer days
4) insects (why do they always pick the best part of your painting to land on?)
5) passing wild life (turkey vultures swooping, swallows defending their nests in the cliff, and our fox, which lounges close by! Yes it is wild, but a long time resident and not shy.)
Shipping: Paintings will be shipped in card board document envelope by Canada and US post to keep costs down unless customer specifies otherwise.
