| I was born in New York City in May 1931. However, shortly after my birth my parents decided to move to Bergen County, New Jersey, where I grew up through high school. I attended Rutgers, the state university in New Brunswick, and graduated in June 1953 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering degree. However, during my sophomore year I became a Christian and decided to become a minister. My girlfriend and I were married ten days after graduation, and drove to Pasadena, California, in late August (taking the historic Route 66 most of the way). I attended Fuller Theological Seminary, graduated in June 1956, was ordained to the Christian ministry, and entered the US Army as a Protestant Chaplain in the fall of 1956. We spent over twenty years on active duty and travelled throughout the US and I had several overseas assignments to Europe and the Far East. This is when I began to take numerous pictures using my Nikon SLR and wide angle and telephoto lenses. After my retirement in the fall of 1976, we settled in Novato, California, in the San Francisco Bay area. I had several positions with companies that sent me overseas; again to Europe and the Far East. Currently I am working as a financial planner. I particularly "loved" scenic photography and amassed hundreds of photos. A selection of these pictures are featured in my gallery for your viewing pleasure. I hope you enjoy looking at them, and would welcome any of your comments. |
