Eugene Ivanov was born in 1966 in Siberia (Tyumen), Russia. He graduated with the Tyumen Industrial Institute as a speciality engineer-geophysicist. After three years working in the domain of mineral-oil geology, he decided to choose a career as an advertising designer a closer link to the fine arts. Since childhood Eugene Ivanov was fond of drawing and over the last 20 years he has been engaged in painting and graphic professionally. His first experiences were using a pencil and ink on paper, moving over gradually to oil on canvas and most recently using watercolours. Absence of specific art training does not prevent the artist to be engaged in painting of the pro-ducts uniting elements of a landscape realism, yards and back streets of the Old Town in Prague, a classical still-life with modern styles of the beginning of the 20 century - a cubism, a suprematism and an expressionism. From the creation of his first painting in 1988 to the present day, Eugene has created over 900 graphics and paintings. . Since 1989 Eugene has actively participated in both group and solo exhibitions. His first solo exhibition in autumn 2002 in the Czech Republic was very important for Eugene’s art career. This exhibition was organized with support by the Ostrava group of artists called "Spolek Mlejn". Over the last 10 years Eugene Ivanov has lived and worked in Prague, co-operating with Prague and Ostrava galleries and publishing houses. This included the publication of a colouring book of his figures in 2000 with the publishing house "Pierot". He also won first prize in the competition of illustrations organised by the Belgian publishing house "Wallonie-Bruxelles". His works are held in several private collections in Czech Republic, Germany, Israel, Poland, Russia, UK and USA.
The next Ivanov’s personal exhibition happened in the Russian Centre Of Science And Culture in October - November 2003.
7-9.05.2004 took part in the exhibition "Art Ireland Summer Collection 2004", RDS Industries Hall, Dublin, Ireland.
In 2004 illustrated the children's book "Busunsul and Paskualina" for the project "International Step By Step Association".
13-15.05.2005 took part in the exhibition "Art Ireland Summer Collection 2005", RDS Industries Hall, Dublin, Ireland.
28-30.10.2005 took part in the North Europe’s largest selling contemporary art fair “Manchester Art Show", Manchester, Great Britain (UK).
25-27.11.2005 took part in the exhibition "Art Ireland Winter Collection 2005", which took place in the Main Hall of RDS, Dublin, Ireland. The event hosted exhibitions from over one hundred and forty five galleries and independent artists.
In the end of 2005 Eugene Ivanov with two other artists - Moarch Eveno and Adolf Born - took part in the Christmas exhibition. It passed from 22.12.2005 to 01.01.2006 in the building of municipality Ostrozska Nova Ves, Slovacko, Czech Republic.
