	click images below for alternate view     Mermaid's Basket Patricia Griffin Brett This was another of my entries into the 17th Int'l. Miniature Show. The shape was obtained by increasing and decreasing brick stitch. The net is a free-form netting stitch and has "caught" the mermaid, an old coin, fish, pearls, and shells. The blues and greens represent the waves; and the sand and brown colors represent the beach. This basket took approximately 1-2 months to finish.
