Receiving Payment

How do I receive payment?
You can choose to have Yessy transfer the buyer's funds to you either by direct deposit into your bank account, or PayPal, or by mailing you a check.

How do I select whether to transfer the funds directly to my bank account, or PayPal, or mailed to me by check?
In both Easy Edit and Power Edit, there is a section entitled "Commerce" where you can choose your payment options. Select whether you'd like to have your funds deposited directly into your bank account, or PayPal, or whether you'd like to have the funds mailed to you by check.

Will PayPal charge me a fee to receive money from Yessy?
No. Yessy pays the PayPal fee, so you receive the exact amount Yessy transfers to you. If Yessy transfers $100 to your account, then you'll receive exactly $100. Keep in mind that the Yessy escrow/payment processing fee still applies.

When do I get paid for an order?
You are paid when the buyer successfully receives the order. Yessy is an escrow service. This means that Yessy secures the funds from the buyer, then you ship the item to the buyer, then Yessy releases the funds to you when the buyer receives the item. This process ensures that the buyer receives their item and ensures that you are paid.

How do you know when the buyer has received their order?
When the buyer receives their order, they are instructed to click their "Item Received" button. This notifies Yessy that they have received their order and their funds can now be released to the seller.

What if a buyer doesn't click their "Item Received" button?
Sometimes it just takes the buyer awhile to click the button. Yessy emails the buyer twice-a-week with instructions to click their "Item Received" button. You're welcome to email them as well to see if there is a problem with the order. If 14 days passes since they received the order and they still have not clicked their "Item Received" button, let us know at support@yessy.com and we'll open an investigation.

How long does it take to get the funds by direct deposit?
Direct deposits occur the same day that Yessy releases the buyer's funds to you, however, it may take your bank a few days to actually show the deposit. You are notified immediately via email when the direct deposit has occurred. Direct deposit is only available for U.S. bank accounts.

How long does it take to get the funds by PayPal?
PayPal deposits occur the same day that Yessy releases the buyer's funds to you and appear immediately in your PayPal account. You are notified immediately via email when the PayPal deposit has occurred. PayPal is available for everyone that can have a PayPal account.

How long does it take to get the funds by check?
When Yessy releases the buyer's funds to you, a check is mailed to you the following business day. You are notified immediately via email when the check has been mailed. Checks are mailed from Colorado, USA. This is the other option for sellers who can not have PayPal and who do not have a U.S. bank account.

Why are direct deposits only allowed for U.S. bank accounts?
Direct deposits are only available for U.S. bank accounts because of limitations with the company that processes the Yessy direct deposits. Sellers without U.S. bank accounts must have their funds deposited into their PayPal account or mailed to them by check.

Am I provided the buyers billing information?
No. For security reasons, the buyer's credit card information and any other billing information is handled completely by Yessy and is not made available to the seller. Also, your commerce information is only available to Yessy and is not viewable by anyone else.

Can the buyer pay me directly?
Yes, but it is not recommended. The Yessy ordering system protects you from fraudulent payments by using many levels of payment verification and fraud audits. The Yessy team also has years of experience at quickly spotting fraudulent orders, which has directly saved many seller's from potential disasters involving fake money orders and stolen credit cards. Having Yessy handle the payment transactions saves you time, effort, and trouble. For buyer's, the Yessy ordering system is the easiest, quickest, and most secure way to purchase items on Yessy. In addition, the Yessy escrow service provides the buyer with trust that they'll receive exactly what they order, so asking them to pay you directly is not to their benefit. Keep in mind that scammers will want to pay you directly, so always insist that your buyer's go through the Yessy ordering system.
