Born in The Lake District in Northern England in 1974.
On finishing university, I moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I lived from 1998-2002 Which inspired me no end. I then moved to Valencia in Spain until January 2007 and have recently moved up north to Gijón in Asturias.
I´ve been painting and drawing most of my life but only recently have I started taking my work more seriously and being more confident about it. I had my first exhibition in Valencia, Spain, last June and have started selling work and doing illustrations on commission basis.
I´ve studied with artist Geoff Cater in England (with strong figurative and Pop influences), figure drawing at the Brewery Arts Centre, in my hometown Kendal, with Andrea Gutierrez (www.andreagutierrez.com.ar)in Buenos Aires (who taught me lots about color, movement and putting emotion into my work), at Gaia in Valencia and now with Asturian artists, Ana Vila and Carlota Álvarez (www.netcom.es/carlota).
Last year I had my first indiviual exhibition at "La Maga" in Xativa, Spain. I have 3 collective exhibitions programmed for the next few months in Gijón, Spain.

Nací en la región de Lagos en el norte de Inglaterra en 1974.
Después de terminar la facultad, me mudé a Buenos Aires, Argentina, donde viví entre 1998-2002, lo cual me inspiró y enseñó mucho a nivel artístico. Luego me fui a vivir a España, a Valencia y recién me mudé otra vez a Gijón , Asturias, en el norte de España.
He estado pintando y dibujando casí toda mi vida pero recién en los últimos años he empezado a tomar mi trabajo más en serio y a tener más confianza. Tuve mi primera exposición en Valencia el año pasado y he empezado a vender y hago ilustraciones por encargo.
Estudié con el artista Geoff Cater en Inglaterra (con fuertes influencia pop, figurativo), con Andrea Gutierrez (www.andreagutierrez.com.ar)en Buenos Aires (que me enseñó mucho sobre el color y como expresar mis emociones através de mis trabajos), en Gaia, Valencia y ahora con artistas Asturianas, Ana Vila y Carlota Álvarez (www.netcom.es/carlota).
Tuve mi primera expsición individual el año pasado en "La Maga", Xátiva, España y tengo 3 exposiciones colectivas ya programadas en los próximos meses en Gijón, España. |
