 ....I am self taught artist currently living and working in London. My work is highly a reflection of the influences of my West African background. Born into a Nigerian family, brightly patterned folk and traditional art was an everyday visionary experience for me, along with the music, dances and superstitions that have shaped my culture. Along with Africa, past experiences throughout my travels in Central America and the Caribbean with special reference to Cuba have also found comfort and shelter in my work . |
