 Joe Thompson's art reflects 15 yrs of experimentation and evolution. Having no formal education as a sculptor, Joe has an authentic and very unique style. This originality he credits to being self taught and following his own path. At an art show in Cocoa Beach, Fl., Joe was asked how he gets his inspiration. To this he replied; "I make things; sometimes I make art. I give art a place to happen !"
As with most artists, Joe loves to exhibit new sculpture and wall hangings. Putting personal feelings aside, he enjoys questioning viewers and getting their honest reaction, sometimes not mentioning its "his" own work they are discussing.
Personally, he is 44 years old, married with four children. He has always owned his own businesses which centered around building construction and real estate. He has sculpted for 15 years with 10 years of those years in metal. Originally from Atlanta, Ga., he and his family have been in Florida since 2003
