I am primarily a self taught painter, although I have taken a few commercial art, and painting courses, and have done some illustration and logo work.
Since before I can remember I have been drawing and painting. I have a deep interests in history, astronomy, politics, and mythology. I am interestd in many of the commercial aspects of art which shows in many of my paintings.
I like surreal art, art deco and pop art. Artists who's styles have inspired me are Tamara de Lempicka, Patrick Nagel, Vargas, H.R. Giger, Dali, Frank Frazetta, and Gustav Klimt, among others.
I was born in the small logging town of Morton Washington in the Cascade mountains of the pacific northwest, and was raised in and around Seattle, I have also lived in New Orleans, Chicago, and currently live in southern Illinois. |
