NC. Artist
I am alive when I use my skills to influence a visual product. I love the process of problem solving ideas into visual media. Currently I explore three avenues of thought: memories of place, impressions of place, and explorations of breaking the grid. I often reflect on my family history as a voyeur looking at the “good old days” of an idealized past. I create my work using photographs taken in the past or found in the family stash, or from digital photography from my travels. From these black and white images, I create a designed work that evokes my fragmented color view of the moment. Some stories are clear, others implied, and there is always something hidden.
“Great art is the outward expression of an inner life in the artist, and this inner life will result in his personal vision of the world. ” Edward Hopper
